TIP 5) Find a Print Buddy
When you’re ordering business cards, its always worth asking colleagues or friends in different companies, if they need any too.
To order business cards for just one person, only to place another order a few days later is not cost, or time effective for anyone. The only party that will benefit from this is your print supplier.
Finding a ‘Print Buddy’ to order the same as you, at the same time, could lead to huge savings for both parties.
Of course, this will only work when both parties’ print requirements are printed on the same material, using the same process, but by working with your print supplier, this is achievable.
This doesn’t have to be just business cards. This ‘Print Buddy’ system could be used for letterheads, some flyers, compliment slips, brochures etc.
This is a great scheme for smaller businesses or sole traders. Their marketing budgets are particularly tight, so to find someone to team up with can be very beneficial. And if you can’t find anyone, then why not use your social media networks? Or even contact your print supplier and ask them if anyone is going to be ordering soon?
But who pays? Well, if the quantity is 50/50, then the invoice is usually split in half, one invoice is sent to you and another to the other party. Simple, but very effective.
