Essential Print Services have joined the Rams. No, not the football club. We are thrilled to announce that we are the official print partner for the Derby Ram Trail which will take place in Derby this summer; 27 May – 22 August 2021.
The Derby Ram Trail, which is raising money for Derby Museums, will see thirty huge rams appearing all across the city centre, one of which will be sponsored by Essential Print Services and further bolsters our ethos of giving back to the community.
When she heard about the scheme, Managing Director of Essential Print Services, Yvonne Gorman, jumped at the chance to be part of it. She commented: “Creativity, design, stunning artwork, and putting Derby on the map? There couldn’t be many more ticks! These are all things that Essential Print Services stands for so I knew we had to be involved. It’s a fantastic idea to really bring the Derby community together and encourage people, from far and wide, to explore our great city.”
May Update: The ‘Jury’ is out on the location of our Ram but we do know it will be very ‘accommodating’. Any guesses where it’ll be? The maps are going to print imminently and will be available from many outlets very soon.
April Update: Yvonne has met our Ram who is called Joe. He’s named after Joseph Wright of Derby; the famous artist whose painting entitled, ‘Landscape with a Rainbow’ inspired the design. We cannot reveal any photographs yet but keep your eyes peeled on social media for glimpses of Joe’s identity. It is no surprise that he’s colourful. The location of our Ram on the trail is top secret, but he’s currently living in the Ram Trail ‘Herdquarters’ (The Derbion, opposite Iceland).
