Founder of Essential Print Services; Yvonne Gorman, together with her husband, Jim Leafe, will be taking on a lockdown challenge to raise vital funds for me & dee charity. The pair will run one mile, on the hour, every hour for 24 hours starting on Friday 29th May at 5pm.
Mr & Mrs Leafe have been long-standing supporters of the me&dee charity and Yvonne’s business has been a Platinum Sponsor for well over a year, which also helps the charity by supplying discounted and where possible, free, print. This has been invaluable to the charity, as Maria Hanson MBE, founder of me&dee charity, discussed:
“As a charity, it is essential that we form partnerships with businesses who are engaged with our organisation. Not only is Essential Print Services engaged with me&dee charity but, they have been enthusiastic ambassadors for several years. They support our charity in several ways; they are Platinum Sponsors, they supply us with discounted print services and I can call upon them for ideas and advice.”
Yvonne explained, “my husband and I are looking forward to this challenge and I, in particular, cannot wait to see what it’s like running during the twilight hours. We will be posting photos and videos live during the 24 hours on our JustGiving and Facebook Pages. We know times are tough for everyone right now, but, please donate whatever you can to support this amazing charity.”
To follow Yvonne and Jim’s progress or to make a donation keep your eyes peeled to their fundraising pages and Facebook
and JustGiving.
Since 2011, when Yvonne Gorman formed the company, the ethos of giving back has always been at the heart of the business, with a strong emphasis placed on ensuring that everything contributes to towards this goal and benefits the wider community. The most recent steps have been supporting local charities and furthering the company’s work with not-for-profit organisations.
“When customers buy from Essential Print Services, they are not just supporting a local business but, they are supporting the local community too. The ethos of ‘giving back’ has been in the company’s DNA since it began in 2011 and we currently support nine non-profit organisations. For us, it’s not just about profits and creating jobs; it’s about giving back and helping others to thrive too,” Yvonne Gorman concluded.
