Essential Print Services, based on Pride Park in Derby, has launched a series of free workshops for its customers.
For the first event the company joined forces with local PR agency, Honest Communications, to educate customers and local business owners on how to make headlines and get to grips with PR.
The workshop, led by Holly Daulby from Honest Communications, explored the key PR principles and reiterated the importance of knowing the audience for all communications as well as discussing building a media list and how to structure a press release to have maximum impact. Attendees also discussed how to repurpose content and how to self-promote to maximise all possible exposure opportunities as part of building a brand profile.
Yvonne Gorman, owner of Essential Print Services, commented: “The workshops are available free of charge and exclusively to our customers. The sessions were created as our way of thanking clients for purchasing print from us and investing in our business. I have chosen topics that I believe are essential to business growth; I hope they help people grow their skillset and their own businesses too.”
Feedback has been overwhelming with delegates saying it was, “insightful, engaging, inspiring, well presented and fun”.
“It’s been a pleasure to join up with Yvonne to deliver the first Essential Workshop and to help her customers discover more about how they can boost their company profile. There was such fantastic engagement in the workshop from attendees; it was so nice to get to know more about people’s businesses and help give advice on how they can boost their PR activity,” said Holly.
Essential Workshops are available exclusively and completely free of charge to Essential Print Services Customers and future topics will include social media, graphic design and of course, print.
